Jacob Cepis, center, who led Idaho with 20 goals and added 25 assists in his first professional season, signed a contract to return for the 2012-13 campaign. The former University of Minnesota player’s 45 points were 13th-most among ECHL rookies despite appearing in just 57 games during the regular season. He added another nine points (four goals, five assists) in the playoffs, picking up at least one point in seven of his nine playoff game appearances, including two game-winning goals. The Steelheads’ training camp begins Oct. 1 at CenturyLink Arena. Idaho hosts the Utah Grizzlies in the season opener Oct. 12.
