With a strong fourth-quarter performance, Borah (1-1) earned its first victory of the season last week over Centennial. The Lions now eye their first win at Dona Larsen Park when they host Meridian (0-1) a 33-24 loser at home against Mountain View at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Borah duo of quarterback Cole Skinner and receiver Kion Williams have accounted for five of the teams seven touchdowns this season. Meridian was led last week by running back Darian Laboto, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns.

The Grizzlies received good news ahead of their game in California this week. Quarterback Joe Martaranos ejection against Ontario, Ore., last week was overturned, meaning he can play against Casa Roble on Saturday. Martarano was initially ejected for an apparent punch, which was later overruled after the District Three Board of Control talked to participants and reviewed the video. Martarano had been trying to free himself from an opposing player who grabbed his facemask.
