CAMPING
Deadwood Reservoir campgrounds to close
The U.S. Forest Service will start closing the Cozy Cove, Barney’s, Hower’s and Riverside campgrounds at Deadwood Reservoir Monday, Sept. 10 to allow contractors to remove hazard trees. The campgrounds are expected to reopen on Oct. 3. Because hazard tree removal will rotate between the four campgrounds, not all campgrounds will be closed at once. Visitors who want to use a campground can contact the Lowman Ranger District at 259-3361 or go to fs.usda.gov/boise.
