Watch out for the potted plant in the flower shop window — it’s a killer, literally. It’s Audrey II, a Venus flytrap from outer space that mild-mannered Seymour (Jeff McKinnon) discovers is really more of a people trap in Howard Ashman’s and Alan Menken’s “Little Shop of Horrors,” now in production at Music Theatre of Idaho. He names it for his secret love Audrey (Chelsi Gunstream), then Audrey II (a puppet) proceeds to devour most of the cast — but it’s all in good fun. This cult horror musical contains styles from classic rock ’n’ roll to doo-wop.
