Coroner identifies 19-year-old woman recovered from Boise River

Published: August 29, 2012

Ada County coroner's officials say it appears a 19-year-old woman whose body was found in the Boise River Wednesday night may have committed suicide.

Coroner's reports list the cause of Kylie Bierlich's death as drowning and say an autopsy showed no other trauma or injuries.

A missing persons report was filed for Bierlich on Aug. 24 with Boise Police but coroner's reports do not say how long she was in the water before being found by kayakers. The body was caught up in some brush on the river.

Emergency personnel were sent to the 3400 block of Plantation Drive at about 7:15 p.m. for a report of a drowning.

Garden City police officials said Wednesday night there were no obvious signs of foul play and that the body had likely been in the water for some time.
