Hawks lose final contest of 11-game road swing

A day after clinching the second half championship, Boise dropped a 5-1 decision at Vancouver.

Trey Martin and Jeimer Candelario each had two hits for the Hawks, while Stephen Bruno had a hit and knocked in the lone Boise run to extend his hitting streak to 17 games.

The Hawks take Monday off, then close the regular season with five home games against Everett starting Tuesday.

The playoffs open Sept. 3 against first-half champion Yakima in Boise.
