OAKLAND, Calif. — Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford left during the second quarter of a 31-20 preseason loss to the Oakland Raiders with an injury to his left, non-throwing hand.

Stafford’s hand appeared to get hit by an Oakland defender after throwing an incomplete pass Saturday. Trainers were examining Stafford’s hand on the sideline. He was 8-for-10 for 68 yards.

Shaun Hill replaced Stafford, who played three games last year with a broken finger on his right hand, and led the Lions to a third-quarter touchdown before giving way to Kellen Moore in the fourth.

Moore threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Alex Gottlieb with 3:32 remaining in the game. It was his first touchdown in the NFL. He finished 10-for-19 for 87 yards and an interception.

RAMS: Austin Pettis caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Kellen Clemens during the fourth quarter of a 20-19 loss to the Cowboys.

JAGUARS: The team waived eight players, including former Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle and veteran cornerback Ashton Youboty.
