Canadians end Hawks’ three-game winning streak

Published: August 25, 2012

Boise squandered a six-run lead Friday in a 7-6 loss at Vancouver. The Hawks sent 11 runners to the plate in the second inning, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. But three Vancouver relievers didn’t allow any Boise base runners into scoring position for the remainder of the game. Marco Hernandez went 3-for-4 in the loss, and Jeimer Candelario ended an 0-for-22 slump with two singles.

NORTHWEST LEAGUE: Bob Richmond will step down as president at the end of the year after 30 years at the position.
