Where to now? Boise State’s sports teams are on the move again. Most of the non-football programs are headed to the Big West, a California-based league that does not sponsor football. The move takes effect for the 2013-14 season.
How much will this cost? Between entry fees, travel subsidies, membership dues and fees, it’ll cost more than $6.7 million over the next five years. But the Big East, Boise State’s home for football, is picking up about $2.8 million of that tab.
Is realignment over yet? Boise State says this is a long-term move designed to provide stability. ... We’ll see.
