A brush fire Friday night burned 4 to 5 acres north of Eagle near Willow Creek Road and Chantry Way.

Crews from Eagle, Star, Meridian and Boise fire departments responded to the blaze including providing protection to nearby threatened structures.

No structures were damaged by the fire, which was reported about 9 p.m.

A fire crew will remain onsite overnight to watch for rekindles, said Nevil Humphreys with Eagle Fire Department.

The fire's cause is under investigation.
