Teams to watch:
Boise has finished in the top three or better at state the past four seasons and returns eight lettermen, including five starters.
Nine starters are back for a Borah team that is determined to grab a state berth.
Eagle boasts one of the most experienced rosters with 14 seniors, reminding coach Stephanie Fornander of her 2004 and 2005 teams, which won back-to-back state titles.
Mountain View has the potential to be a title contender with seven returning starters.
Rocky Mountain lost four players to ACL injuries during the club season including keeper Jessica DeBoer and defender Cassidy Hammons but should still be strong.
Timberline finished third at state last season, and 15 lettermen are back.
Players to watch: Boise senior center-mid Cassey Pennington (8 assists), sophomore defender Grace Hancock (2 goals, 4 assists), sophomore forward Sophia Kallas (9 goals, 3 assists) and junior forward Rikki Fix (5 goals, 3 assists); Borah senior midfielder Andie Hill, senior goalkeeper Jessica Parker and sophomore midfielder Kate Murray; Capital senior midfielder Sarah Haener, sophomore goalkeeper Emilie Eckhart (200 saves) and junior defender Makenna Berry; Eagle senior midfielder Jenna Morris, senior midfielder Jennifer Merhoff and senior defender Bethany Borup; Meridian senior defenders Kaydee Bevan and Camas Curran (3 goals, 1 assist); Mountain View senior midfielder Hannah Frakes, senior forward Baylee Blaser and sophomore forward Brenna Blaser; Rocky Mountain center defender Kaitlin Carlson and center-mids Kylie Stephens and Hallie Widner; Timberline senior defender/midfielder Masion ONeil, senior midfielder Alexis Sutherlin and junior midfielder Courtney Lavin.
