2011 state champion: Rocky Mountain

2011 District Three champion: Boise

Teams to watch:

• Boise has finished in the top three or better at state the past four seasons and returns eight lettermen, including five starters.

• Nine starters are back for a Borah team that is determined to grab a state berth.

• Eagle boasts one of the most experienced rosters with 14 seniors, reminding coach Stephanie Fornander of her 2004 and 2005 teams, which won back-to-back state titles.

• Mountain View has the potential to be a title contender with seven returning starters.

• Rocky Mountain lost four players to ACL injuries during the club season — including keeper Jessica DeBoer and defender Cassidy Hammons — but should still be strong.

• Timberline finished third at state last season, and 15 lettermen are back.
