Teams to watch:

• Skyview seems to be in the conversation every season, as the Hawks have won six of the past eight district championships and return all but one starter from last year’s state runner-up team.

• Bishop Kelly, last year’s district runner-up, and Kuna each have two starters back.

• Middleton struggled with injuries last season, but hopes to contend with three returning starters as well as senior Maya Ah You, who missed last season with a knee injury.

• Emmett should be in the mix for a state tournament berth.
