Max, 5, is a neutered male, black and white, Landseer Newfoundland and Border Collie mix. He is an large-sized dog that weighs in at 108 pounds.
He is housetrained, good with older children and larger-breed dogs. Max has a long, plush coat that will require regular brushing to keep it healthy. He is a mellow, gentle dog that, despite his size, wishes to be a lapdog. Max can be playful and enjoys fetching toys and tennis balls. He is very much a housedog and will not do well left alone in a backyard. An indoor home where he will receive lots of attention and playtime with his owner will be ideal for Max.
Max can be found in kennel 404 (#16798724) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is now open for extended summer hours. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
