U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will meet with Mayor David Bieter and executives for Boise-based locomotive manufacturer MotivePower on Wednesday. The group is scheduled to tour MotivePower's locomotive production complex at 4600 Apple St.
The tour is part of LaHood's tour of western states. City staff suggested the visit to MotivePower, city spokesman Adam Park said.
