New Steelheads coach signs first two players

Defensemen Matt Case and Deron Cousens have agreed to terms and will report to Idaho’s training camp in October, coach Brad Ralph announced this week. Case, 26, played 79 regular-season games with Idaho over the past two seasons and was voted by teammates as the co-Defensive Player of the Year last season after registering 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 48 games. Cousens, 25, returns to Idaho after being a late-season addition from the Florida Everblades last spring.
