Recreation areas around Cascade and McCall are open and not affected by fires.

Idaho 55 and the Banks-to-Lowman Road are open. The South Fork of the Payette River is open to rafting.

Idaho 21 and Idaho 75 are open to Stanley and most campgrounds and trails in the area are open. The following campgrounds are closed: Beaver Creek, Lola Creek, Marsh Creek Transfer, Josephus Lake, Bench, Banner, Park Creek, Elk Creek, Sheep Trail, Trap Creek, Vader Creek and Thatcher Creek.

The Halstead Fire has resulted in the closure of all access points to the Cape Horn Area, the Seafoam Bubble, and the area of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, east of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River Wild and Scenic River Corridor. The Boundary Creek Road (No. 579) to the Middle Fork remains open.

The North and Middle forks of the Boise River and the Pine and Featherville areas are closed because of the Trinity Ridge Fire. The following recreation areas are open in the Mountain Home and Idaho City ranger districts: Village Boat Launch, Spillway, Elk Creek Boat Launch, Wilson Trailhead, Fall Creek Boat Launch, and the Evans Creek, Castle Creek, Ice Springs, Cottonwood, Willow Creek, Badger Creek, Tailwaters, Ten Mile, Bad Bear, Grayback Gulch, Hayfork and Edna Creek campgrounds. The Camp Creek Trailhead, Arrowrock Boat Launch and Cottonwood Trailhead remain open. The South Fork of the Boise River below Anderson Ranch Reservoir is open. Recreation areas in the Emmett and Lowman ranger districts are open.

Near Salmon, the Salmon River Road to the Corn Creek launch closed because of the Mustang Fire. River runners need to check with the North Fork Ranger District.

Stage 1 fire restrictions are in effect. These restrictions prohibit using a campfire or stove fire, except within a designated recreation site. A list of developed recreation sites can be found on the Boise National Forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/boise.
