Boise police are looking for two men who witnesses say broke into their apartment at 7470 W. Tottenham Lane, near Cole Road and Settlers Avenue, just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Boise police have released limited information on the case but did say Wednesday that witnesses told officers the two men had guns with them and did not take anything before they left.

Police officials also say it appears that particular house was targeted by the robbers, but did not say why.

Police were sent to the apartment at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday and found that a man and woman who lived there both had cuts to their heads. They told police two men, dressed in black clothes, came in through an unlocked door and hit both of them in the head with a handgun, and then left a short time later.

An alert was sent to law enforcement across the Treasure Valley for two suspects driving south on Cole Road in a dark Volkswagen Jetta.

No one had been arrested in connection with the case as of noon Wednesday.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 343-2677 and log on to www.343cops.com to leave tips.
