Army Sgt. Jason A. Lambright has been deployed overseas to a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Operation Enduring Freedom is the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners. Active duty and reserve component members from all branches of the U.S. armed forces have been deployed to support the war against global terrorism outside the borders of the United States. U.S. troops serve in South, Southwest and Central Asia, the Arabian peninsula, the Horn of Africa, islands in the Pacific, and Europe.

Lambright is a personal security detachment squad leader assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. The sergeant has served in the military for four years.

He is the son of Arthur and Sherly Lambright of Meridian and graduated in 2006 from Central Academy, Meridian.

Darren Mesler, son of Dennis and Kris Mesler of Boise, was the honor graduate of the US Coast Guard Food Service 09-12 “A” school training in Petaluma, California and has been promoted to Petty Officer 3rd class . A 2003 graduate of Borah High School, Darren is currently stationed on the US Coast Guard Cutter Aspen, out of California.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Chris S. Berrier, Air Force Airman 2st Class Kyle P. Vincent, and Air Force Airmen Kyle A. Neukam, Jovanne A. Carrizales, Justin J. Kondeff, Benjamin C. Swartout and Patrick A. Caffrey have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Berrier is the son of Amy Berrier of and Rob Berrier, both of Boise. He is a 2008 graduate of Meridian High School.

Vincent is the son of Jan Taylor of Caldwell. He is a 2006 graduate of Greenway High School, Phoenix, Ariz. He earned an associate degree in 2008 from Universal Technical Institute, Avondale, Ariz.

Neukam is the son of Tamara and Brett Neukam of Boise. He is a 2009 graduate of Mountain View High School.

Carrizales is the son of Albert Carrizales and grandson of Roldolfo Carrizales, both of San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2010 graduate of Mountain Home High School.

Kondeff is the son of Brian and Terri Kondeff of Star. He is a 2009 graduate of Eagle High School.

Swartout is the son of Maia Emery of Tupelo Street, Summerville, S.C., and Charles Swartout of Nampa, Idaho. He is a 2009 graduate of Coronado High School, Henderson, Nev.

Caffrey is the son of Jodi Caffrey of Meridian. He is a 2011 graduate of Skyview High School, Nampa.
