Kris Krabill outdrove defending world champion Jason Rupert in AA/Funny Car in the featured event at Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway. Krabill won with a 5.94-second run at faster than 239 mph, to outpace Ruperts 6.00, 235.
In AA/Fuel Dragster, Adam Sorokin made the quickest run of the weekend in the final, running 5.83 to down Rick Williamson.
Idaho racers Houston Head and Richie Pedraza scored in Heavy and Sled/Bike, respectively, while Canadian driver Darryn OConnor picked up two titles in one day, winning a combined $6,000 in Bracketeer and Top Fire.
