Joel Abelson, who was an assistant and associate head coach with Idaho from 2008 to 2012, becomes the 15th head coach in the Skyforce franchise.

“I’m extremely honored and excited about the opportunity to be the head coach of the Sioux Falls Skyforce,” Abelson said in a press release. “… I will miss the Treasure Valley but am extremely excited about this opportunity and new chapter in my life.”

Abelson, 29, is a Michigan graduate who has also been an assistant coach with the Tulsa 66ers.
