A section of Idaho 21 between Grandjean Road at milepost 93.75 and the Elk Meadows turnoff at Iron Creek Road at milepost 122 (about seven miles south of Stanley) is closed due to a wildfire at Banner Summit near Bull Trout Lake.

The highway was closed about 3:30 p.m. and as of 5:30 p.m. it was still closed.

Fire crews from the Halstead Fire near Stanley are on scene. The fire, called the Bench Fire, is reported to be about 75 acres in size.
