In keeping with the Olympic spirit trying to break records, Boise weighed in Tuesday by trying to break a record. That didn't happen, but the National Weather Service said the high reached 106 degrees, tying the Aug. 7 record of 106 degrees set in 1983.
It was Boise’s third consecutive day of 100 degrees or higher and its 12th triple-digit day of the year.
