Idaho coach Robb Akey announced the addition of Wayne Moses, who will serve as the teams running backs coach. Moses, 57, joins the Vandals after spending the past four years as UCLAs running backs coach. In the past 15 years, he has coached at Stanford, Pittsburgh, Washington and Cal. In addition, he spent two seasons with the Rams from 2006 to 2007. Moses takes over the coaching position that was vacated when Jason Gesser was promoted to offensive coordinator in the spring.
The Vandals held their first day of fall practice Thursday and will play their first scrimmage Tuesday.
