Idaho athletes compete at Junior Olympics

Thirteen athletes represented Idaho at the USA Track & Field National Outdoor Junior Olympics last week in Baltimore. Here are the results for those competitors, including six All-American finishes.

• Luke Leonnig, unattached (Eagle High), first, youth boys discus (178-1)

• Elijah Armstrong, Pocatello, third, intermediate boys 3,000 (9:02.31); 11th, 1,500 (4:13.76)

• Kaylee Oyler, YMCA Team Idaho, fifth, youth girls 800 (2:14.97)

• Eric England, YMCA Team Idaho, sixth, young men triple jump (46-2fl); 43rd, long jump (20-5)

• Malachi Armstrong, Pocatello, seventh, youth boys 3,000 (9:23.09); 11th, 1,500 (4:30.69)

• Rachel McGovern, Pocatello, eighth, intermediate girls 1,500 (4:46.60)

• Marcell King, YMCA Team Idaho, 10th, intermediate boys triple jump (43-11.75); 32nd, long jump (19-0›)

• Hayden Schultz, Pocatello, 12th, bantam boys high jump (3-11€)

• Kirsys Campbell, Idaho Ice, 15th, midget girls 3,000 (11:35.44)

• Wes Loertscher, YMCA Team Idaho, 15th, intermediate boys decathlon (3,738)

• Payton Fratusco, YMCA Team Idaho, 23rd, midget girls 1,500 (5:21.57)

• Jaydon Green, YMCA Team Idaho, 11th, midget boys 80 hurdles preliminaries (12.99)

• Marcus Barber, YMCA Team Idaho, 40th, young men 110 hurdles preliminaries (15.45)
