This year, a car show will be added to the child safety seat inspections and displays of police and fire department vehicles. The police department will also have McGruff the Crime Dog, crime prevention information and Fatal Vision, a simulator to replicate the effects of drug and alcohol impairment. The Nampa Fire Department will provide a 911 call simulator, a tabletop unit with a phone receiver so children can practice how to speak with an emergency dispatcher.
