A 52-year-old woman who pleaded guilty to first-degree arson in Mountain Home has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and must serve at least 18 months, according to the Elmore County Sheriffs Office.
Sherry Scott was given credit for serving the 295 days she has already spent in jail. She was ordered to pay $46,325.50 in restitution.
Scott was charged with felony arson after a Sept. 29 apartment fire at 411 Bradford St. in Mountain Home.
No one was injured in the fire. But it caused extensive damage in Scotts apartment and some damage to another apartment in the one-story, five-unit complex, Elmore County Sheriffs Detective Clint Andrus said. Andrus said the fire started outside Scotts apartment.
