Hotel company Courtyard by Marriott has named Boise one of the best 20 destinations for couples' travel.

The company partnered with two travel bloggers to rank "well-trodden and off-the-beaten-path" locations, the company said. They created their list based on results of a recent online survey asking 722 couples what they want in a travel experience.

"Idaho is known for more than just potatoes," the company said in a news release. "Explore the forests, rivers, state parks, and even a few breathtaking caves! Hike, bike, or tube through the Idaho landscapes or spend a romantic evening at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival."

The list included large metropolitan cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Other than Boise, the list included small and mid-sized cities of Albuquerque, N.M.; Cape Cod Hyannis, Mass.; New Orleans; Norwalk, Conn.; and Savannah, Ga.
