Idaho colleges roundup: Idaho soccer forward earns preseason WAC accolade

Senior Chelsea Small was picked as WAC preseason offensive player of the year for the second season in a row. Small is the Vandals’ career record holder in goals (31), game-winners (12), points (74) and shots (313). Seniors Jill Flockhart (midfielder) and Liz Boyden (goalie) also were named to the preseason All-WAC team. Idaho was picked to finish fifth in the eight-team conference. Denver was the top pick in the vote of the coaches.

BOISE STATE SOFTBALL: The Broncos added catcher Brittany McCray (Yavapai College) and pitcher Rebecca Patton (Cal Poly). Both have two years of eligibility remaining and are expected to play this season.
