The Board of Ada County Commissioners will hold a public presentation of the county’s proposed 2012-2013 budget on Wednesday evening.

The public is invited to attend and weigh in on the county’s spending priorities.

The presentation starts at 6 p.m. in the main floor hearing room of the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front St. in Boise.

For the seventh straight year now, commissioners have chosen not to levy for the allowed 3 percent property tax increase.

The proposed budget of $199 million is an approximate $5.9 million increase over this year’s budget.

Following Wednesday’s budget presentation, the tentative budget will be set by the commissioners on Aug. 6 and adopted on Aug. 21.
