MWI Veterinary Supply of Boise had third quarter revenues of $554.7 million, up 35 percent from $410.7 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Excluding revenue from Micro Beef Technologies Ltd., which was acquired on Oct. 31, revenues rose 18.5 percent in the United States and 20.2 percent in the United Kingdom compared to the same period last year.

Net income was $14.5 million for the quarter, 27.3 percent higher than $11.4 million for the third quarter of 2011.

The company added 12 new sales representatives during the quarter in the United States bringing its total field reps to 308 and telesales representatives to 170.
