Boise Police are asking citizens to call police dispatchers if they see a maroon van that appears to be abandoned.
Security camera photographs show two young men stealing the van from a home on the Boise Bench in June. The owner of the van which is a a 1998 maroon Dodge Grand Caravan with Idaho plates from Washington County is a quadriplegic man in his 20's. The van is equipped so he can drive it.
Officers think the men who stole the van probably took it for a joy ride then abandoned it. Their searches in the area haven't turned up anything, so they're calling for the public to join the search.
Anyone who may know where the van is should call Boise Police non-emergency dispatch at 377-6790.
Anyone with information on the possible identify of the young suspects is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, or log onto www.343cops.com, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. A citizen can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.
