Published: July 27, 2012

• Ben Wilson is one of Boise’s quirkiest and most prolific illustration artists. See two new series at his latest show at the Basement Gallery, 928 W. Main St., “Memories in Analog” and “Feelings.” (His “Best Day Ever” is pictured above.)

• Find your way to Bricolage, 418 S. 6th St., this First Thursday for “Navigate,” a group show featuring more than 20 area artists. Each was given an 11-by-14-inch wooden panel and a school compass and asked to create work on the theme “finding your way.” “Navigate” features the work of April Vandergrift, Bingo Barnes, Julie Green, Kirsten Furlong, Laurie Blakeslee and others.

• See the latest majestic landscapes by one of Boise’s most respected painters, Fred Choate, at Art Source Gallery, 1015 W. Main St. The First Thursday reception will feature music by Beth Wilson and wine tasting from Indian Creek Winery.
