TRAFFIC ALERT: Westbound lanes of I-84 in Elmore County re-opened after crash Thursday afternoon

The westbound lanes of Interstate 84 east of Mountain Home were shut down for about an hour and a half after a crash involving a passenger car and a semi truck, but Idaho State Police said the highway was re-opened by about 5:30 p.m.

Details on the crash were not yet available, but will be released soon, officials said.

The crash was reported at 3:54 p.m. Thursday, near milepost 105. Traffic from the highway was diverted to Hammett. Initial reports were that the truck was leaking a large amount of fuel.
