SHOOTING

Parma gun club hosts Grand Nationals July 26-29

The Parma Rod and Gun Club and MGM Targets of Caldwell is hosting the Grand National Man on Man Shoot-off. It’s an exciting event for spectators (bring ear and eye protection). It’s like bowling with handguns with two shooters racing to see who can knock down steel plates first. Matches run 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 7:30 to noon on Saturday. For details go to mgmtargets-grandnats.com, for driving directions go to parmarng.org.

BACK ROADS

The U.S. Forest Service will replace the culvert 2 miles east of Warren. The road will be closed at 8 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, through Aug. 14. Foot traffic will be allowed. The closure will block access to the South Fork of the Salmon River from the junction of Warren Wagon Road and Pony Meadows Road No. 359 and at Warren Summit. For details call Will Perry at 634-0767.
