Rural Nampa intersection will be closed next week for construction

Published: July 24, 2012

The intersection of Happy Valley and Victory roads east of Nampa will close next week for installation of a “splitter island” intended to slow traffic and reduce accidents, the Nampa Highway District announced. Rumble strips and additional pavement markings will narrow the width of travel lanes through the intersection, according to the news release. The intersection will be closed to all traffic during construction, but access to all surrounding residences and businesses will be available by alternate routes. Happy Valley traffic will be detoured to Robinson Road, and East Victory traffic will be detoured to Airport Road, the highway district reports.
