Crews will begin preventive maintenance work Sunday on I-184 between the Flying Wye and 13th Street. The $919,000 project, which is aimed at improving skid resistance, will start six days later than was originally scheduled.
The completion date is still scheduled for late September, according to a statement by the Idaho Transportation Department.
Crews will work at night - between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays - in order to minimize traffic interruption on the Connector, according to the Transportation Department's statement. Work will stop during the nights of Boise State University home football games. Weekend is possible but not expected.
At least one lane will be kept open during work hours, and a speed limit of 45 mph will be in place. Motorists should expect temporary ramp closures in the construction zone.
