The Hawks were crushed 8-1 by the red-hot Eugene Emeralds, who won for the 12th time in 13 games. No Boise batter had more than one hit in the game, and Xavier Batista doubled. Mike Heesch was solid in relief, tossing two shutout innings while striking out three to extend his scoreless innings streak to 10. The Hawks will try to avoid a five-game sweep Monday night before returning home Tuesday for a three-game set against Yakima.
