Hawks manage only two hits in loss to Eugene Emeralds

Published: July 20, 2012

Designated hitter Stephen Bruno had the only hits for Boise, including an RBI double in a 2-1 loss Thursday night in Eugene, Ore.

The Hawks, who opened a five-game series against the Emeralds, left eight runners on base and went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

The lack of offense spoiled solid outings from pitchers Ian Dickson and Hunter Ackerman. Dickson allowed one earned run on four hits in five innings while striking out six. Ackerman allowed one hit and struck out four in three innings.
