Frederick A. Hileman is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony lewd conduct charge after police say he had illegal sexual contact with child under the age of 10 at a Boise area home in June 2010.

The 32-year-old Hileman, who lives in Garden City, is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Police officials say they were first contacted about the case in March and developed evidence that the illegal sexual contact occurred at a Boise area home in June 2010. Police reports not indicate why the case was not reported for more than a year.

Police say Hileman and the child are well known to each other.

Ada County prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for Hileman Wednesday, and Boise police arrested him later in the afternoon.

Hileman will make his initial court appearance later Thursday.

The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison
