Mountain Home prepares for return of airmen

Family members on Monday afternoon await the return of about 200 airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base who have been deployed for the past 6 months to Afghanistan.

MOUNTAIN HOME — About 200 members of the 726th Air Control Squadron will get back from a deployment to Southwest Asia about noon Monday.

The squadron deployed in January as part of Operation Enduring Freedom to support air control operations and direct combat.

The unit has received 11 Air Force meritorious unit awards for multiple deployments around the globe since 2003.
