Yellow air alert issued for Sunday in Ada, Canyon Counties

Published: July 14, 2012

The relentless heat that made for nearly a week of triple digit temperatures in the Treasure Valley has lessened a bit, but the yellow, or moderate, air quality alert is still in place.

The Department of Environmental Quality issued the alert for Sunday in Ada and Canyon Counties. The forecast air quality index is 60 — the minimum number for a yellow air reading.

Outdoor burning is prohibited.
