Sam Jacobson’s Make-A-Wish Foundation request to skate with Washington Capitals’ star Alex Ovechkin will be featured on ESPN’s annual SportsCenter series “My Wish” on Sunday.

Jacobson, 16, is undergoing treatment for T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (a cancer of the white blood cells), but he was able to play hockey and golf for Borah during his recently completed sophomore year.

He made his wish in March 2011 and spent a week in Washington, D.C., with his family in March. The visit included two Capitals games and a chance to skate with Ovechkin.
