What you need to know about Saturday's Twilight Criterium events

What: Twilight Criterium bike races

Where: Downtown Boise

When: Events begin at 2 p.m. with the Ride With Kristin Armstrong Kids Event registration and continue throughout the afternoon and evening.

Tickets: The event is free for spectators. Last year, nearly 20,000 took in some part of the criterium.

Road closures: At 11 a.m., 9th will close south of Main to Front. At 1 p.m., the following streets will close for the day:

• Main, from 11th to 9th

• Grove, from 11th to 9th

• Bannock, from 11th to 8th

• 9th and 10th, from Jefferson to Front

• Idaho Street, from 11th to 8th (expect one lane open on 8th, allowing access to the Eastman Garage). The roads are expected to reopen at midnight.

Schedule:

2:30 p.m.: Ride with Kristin Armstrong Kids event, followed by autographs with Armstrong

2:45-3:30 p.m.: Category 4/5

3:45-4:30 p.m.: Masters 35, plus 2/3/4

4:45-5:30 p.m.: Junior 18 and under

5:45-6:45 p.m.: Men’s category 2/3

6:50-7p.m.: Opening ceremony

7-8 p.m.: Women’s pro

8:15-9:45 p.m.: Men’s pro

10 p.m.: Awards ceremony

11 p.m.: Marketplace load-out

Midnight: All roads open once equipment is cleared
