Snake River Stampede

Joe Jaszewski — Joe Jaszewski / Idaho Statesman

The Snake River Stampede is more than just a rodeo. It’s a communitywide celebration that takes over much of Nampa each July. At the 97th annual Stampede, you’ll find all the top-flight, pro riders competing for hundreds of thousands in prize money and even more in prestige, plus a traditional Buckaroo Breakfast at 7 a.m. June 16 and 17, mutton busting and more. The Stampede Parade through downtown Nampa kicks off the Community Festival on July 14, where you’ll find the Idaho State Chili Cook-off, rope and run events, horse-drill team competitions and the Stampede for the Cure concert with headliner Mark Willis.
