Opera Idaho brings it home with an all-Idaho cast for its summer concert performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” The show features some of the writing duo’s best-known songs, such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning,” “Kansas City,” and the rousing title song. The cast is led by Boise-based baritone Jason Detwiler and soprano Jena Carpenter, who returns to her home town from her voice studies in Germany, as Curly and Laurey — a cowboy and a farmer’s daughter — who help bring the peace to the Oklahoma Territory.
