The Department of Environmental Quality has issued a yellow, or moderate, air alert for Sunday.
All open outdoor burning is prohibited in Ada County and incorporated cities in Canyon County. The burn ban goes into effect when the Air Quality Index reaches 60 or above. The AQI is expected to be 62 on Sunday — when high temperatures could reach 102 in the Treasure Valley.
