Meridian police say Jeremy D. Stom appeared to be intoxicated and failed sobriety tests Wednesday night after he was pulled over for failing to yield to a woman and child crossing the street.

An officer observed the incident at Cherry Lane, west of South Shoshone Street, and Stom's pickup at about 8:30 p.m.

Ada County Records indicated Stom had previous convictions for DUI, so he was charged with a felony. Records also indicated that he is currently suspended from driving.

Stom's blood was drawn for evidentiary testing, and he was booked into the Ada County Jail.
