Boise yielded five unearned runs in the second inning of a 6-2 loss to the Indians on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hawks did get two hits apiece from shortstop Marco Hernandez and center fielder Shawon Dunston Jr., and catcher Lance Rymel doubled home one of the runs.
The teams open a three-game series Thursday night in Boise.
