This years Treasure Valley God & Country Family Festival is set for Wednesday night and will feature Dove Award nominees MIKESCHAIR along with other performers and an event-capping fireworks display.
Music at the 46th annual event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Idaho Center Amphitheater, just off Interstate 84 on Idaho Center Boulevard. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the fireworks will begin at about 10:15 p.m. Admission is free.
The theme for the 46th annual Treasure Valley God & Country honors veterans, military personnel and their families. Booths will feature individual ministries and services to help families of the Treasure Valley.
Nampa Mayor Tom Dale will present the annual Public Servant Award to a public employee for exemplary service to the Nampa community. KTVB News Anchor Dee Sarton will emcee the event and will be joined by KTSY General Manager, Brian Yeager.
In addition to popular national Christian band MIKESCHAIR, performers will include The Waiting Kind, The Treasure Valley Music Minister Band, The Neverclaim and Nate Fowler.
The festival, traditionally held the Wednesday before the 4th of July, generally brings nearly 13,000 to the Idaho Center Amphitheater.
