California driver wins Pro Mod at Firebird’s Fox Hunt

Rod Burbage of Anderson, Calif., recorded consistent elapsed times of 6.20, 6.18 and 6.20 seconds on his way to a win in the Pro Modified division at the 35th annual Fox Hunt on Saturday at Firebird Raceway.

In the closest professional final of the night, Greg Howland of Wenatchee, Wash., ran a 7.01 to beat Kim Parker’s 7.00 in the Nostalgia Funny Car final.

Local highlights included wins by Twin Falls’ brother-sister team of Rayce Kidd (Super Pro) and Marissa Kidd (Box Gambler), and the Boise-based mother-son team of Melanie Higgins (Fox Eliminator) and Kevin Higgins (Sportsman).
